Para sa mapiling ina, Century Tuna
For the past seven years that I’ve lived in Los Angeles, I’ve used US brand canned tuna. I was extremely delighted when, two months ago, I saw Century Tuna on the shelves of Seafood City, LA. Thank you! Goodbye to mashed up, smelly (daw garok), and tasteless fish! It is no wonder that some white people we used to work with commented that we’re eating cat food when they saw us eating tuna.

UUggghhh!
I like to make tuna omelet. Now I don’t have to chop lots of garlic and onions. I don’t have to saute the tuna to give it some flavor. My life has been made a little easier. Dito na ko sa panalo, sa Century Tuna ang sarap ay segurado! (Parang advertisement. They should pay me for this.)

I remember living on Century Tuna in college. One can would last nearly a week, with one-half rice every meal.

Sobra ka naman imo, don. You didn’t look that impoverished in college.

I wasn’t. Not really. Except that most of my allowance was earmarked for Villa Marina/Tia Mel’s/etc… Hwahahahha!
Which is exactly the reason why you guys rushed me to the Mandurriao emergency room one night. Too little food for so long, and suddenly a deluge of gastronomic delights courtesy of those Japanese who sponsored the kimono show. Remember?
