Chiq Boutique is a sari-sari store of ideas. Everything here is free.  No need to whip out your credit card.  Proprietor is  ”Chiqui” Veronica Illenberger Baylon.   Raised in a sleepy coastal town called Dumangas  and  currently living in California, she straddles the Pacific,  making a place for her third world self in a first world environment, finding ways and means to live as an Ilonggo in a foreign land, and  trying with all her might to hang on to her Filipino heritage  as she struggles to survive in America.  She’s a wannabe writer. 36 years old and still without a book to her name, she has turned to the internet to convince herself that she is indeed one and that she’s working her way towards the accomplishment of her goal, which is to get her  thoughts (no matter  how insignificant they are to the common good) out there.
